3 Ways Mindfulness Will 10x Your Prowess As The Boss

What we’re going to get into today is 3 Ways Mindfulness is really going to elevate your status as the boss – we want you to 10x your prowess as the boss and achieve even bigger and better things.



So what I mean by being mindful is…we’re hearing more and more about mindfulness as it becomes an increasingly popular concept – and that is for good reason. Being mindful very simply means staying present. Being grounded in the moment, just being completely present in every moment. The tendency is that we get lost in our heads, and this is exactly where the subject matter came from. I was speaking with a new client, in a strategy call, and she was saying she finds herself wandering off in her head very often and she finds that that really drains her energy and drains her resources that she’s getting. But also, it drains the energy of the other people in the room. So it’s going to be really great to fix it.

The 3 Ways Your Mindfulness Will 10x Your Prowess As The Boss. Because that’s what you want. You want to be the one getting results, elevating everybody’s motivation and inspiration.

The first of the 3 ways is that by staying mindful, you connect with all of your resources.   Let me go into this a little further. Our fears and our doubts and anything else like that that kind of drains your energy, exist within the past or within the future. All of your self-doubt, for instance, has been generated in the past. Anxiety is future based fear, the fear of what is to come. When you stay present, you evade all of those things. And that is really really important. Because when you’re pulled into those traps of behaviour such as fear or doubt, all you’re doing is cutting yourself off from all of your resources. We get sucked into that trap of identifying ourselves as those emotional responses: ‘Oh I’m an anxious person’ – no, you’re not. You experience anxiety from time to time, but you’re so much more than that. When you remain mindful present and grounded in the moment, you evade all of those traps. You connect with all of your resources. By that I mean all of your intelligence, creativity, and everything else. Because your body and mind go into creation mode, leaving behind protection mode, which is what you slip into when you feel fear or doubt or anything like that. By remaining mindful, it absolutely will snap you back into the present moment, connect you with all your resources – and that’s exactly why you are the boss – you have all those amazing things! So don’t shut yourself off from those talents.

Second, being mindful requires you to be conscious. This leads on perfectly form the first point. We create patterns of behaviour. This is why we’ve evolved so far as a species, it is essential that we create these patterns. However, what it allows is for these patterns to run on an unconscious loop – we become less aware of and less in control of those patterns, so they can swoop in out of nowhere and ‘just happen’. Whereas when you’re mindful and present, you are conscious. You’re aware of those things that are going on, and that puts the power exactly back in the palms of your hands. You have the control, you’re more aware, and you can intercept that pattern before it even begins. Before you might have got swept away with it, but now because you’re mindful and aware of what is going on you can stop it, nip it in the bud before it gets its momentum. So you no longer get swept away, you remain present and you can be more productive, more creative, and get better results!

The third way in which Your Mindfulness Will 10x Your Prowess As The Boss, is that people are drawn to self-aware people. Very simply, that is what mindfulness is all about – you are aware of what is going on. Just as we said in the last step, you’re aware, you’re conscious, you’re not allowing things to sweep you away – you are in control. People are drawn to that. People have confidence in those people who put out that energy. I’ve said before you’re an energetic being, every single cell in your body vibrates at a certain frequency, and that frequency is often determined by your emotional state. When you’re present, there’s no anxiety, no fear, no doubt. You’re consciously aware, in control and you stop any self-sabotage patterns, and you’re present, creative, the best version of you. There’s studies that say that the honeymoon period is so blissful because we are the best version of ourselves, simply because you’re present. All that you want is in that room with you. You’re with the person you want to be with, you’re fascinated with that person and so you’re present. There are no negative patterns of behaviour coming out, you’re you – the best version of you. People are drawn to you when you’re present and aware, because you inspire them to behave like that too. You inspire people to step up and be the best version of themselves. You’re the best version of yourself, inspiring your team or employees or whatever, to be their best as well, your productivity levels are going to soar, your results are going to be amazing and you’re going to attract new clients, you’re going to attract bigger deals and better deals.

That, in a nutshell is how your mindfulness, your staying present and grounded, is going to 10x your prowess as the boss. This is a work in progress. Let’s touch on the levels of competency. When we start to learn a new skill, such as mindfulness, it requires conscious attention, just as when you learned to drive a car – you had to be aware of the process. Very quickly though, it becomes unconscious, natural.   Your mind is made to create these patterns of behaviours. You have control over creating new and positive habits. In a nutshell, those are the three ways in which your staying mindful is going to absolutely elevate your status in business.

To recap:

  • Your fears and doubts exist in the past and in the future. You staying present cuts you off from those things and you become the best version of you.
  • Secondly, your unconscious patterns of behaviour, the ones that are sabotaging you – when you’re aware, mindful and present, you can cut them off before they even get started.
  • Thirdly, people are drawn to people who exhibit this behaviour, drawn to people who are mindful, aware, conscious, present and creative. You’re going to attract more clients, bigger deals and better business.
